#BebeahLoveFest

It is no secret we’ve all been feeling a little flat since the dreaded
“c-word” turned the world and our industry completely on its head.

We live and breathe LOVE here at Little Lane. Nothing makes us happier than meeting couples and watching the joy on their faces as they see their dreams become reality. So, when that was taken away and our amazing couples were forced to postpone their big days, we were just as disappointed as they were. Since then, we’ve been itching to get back to creating dream days.

It’s fair to say the whole experience has been really hard. We have gone SO LONG without seeing a face light up as we send the bride or groom down the aisle, and we haven’t fluffed a train or pinned a boutonniere on for MONTHS!

So, when the fabulous people at Days Like These asked us to be involved in an event showcasing the wedding industry at Bebeah Farm, we didn’t just jump at the chance, we did what we do best - created approximately 17 mood boards and said HELL. YES.

When the industry best come together, what you get is magic!

Bebeah Farm is located one and half hours from Sydney in the Yarramalong Valley and has it all. The main 4-bedroom house can sleep up to 10 people and overlooks the most gorgeous grounds. The venue can also host weddings or other events of any size. If you’re thinking intimate cocktail, then the courtyard and upper garden have you covered. But if you’re going all out, the lower paddock has enough room for up to 250 guests (AND you can camp/glamp! How cool is that?!)

The venue certainly isn’t limited to weddings either, we could easily picture a 30th birthday or even a corporate getaway here! Seriously, it’s amazing. Go and check it out and let the farm win you over too.

With the incredibly lush backdrop of Bebeah Farm, our job was an easy one. The versatility of this venue meant we had the design world at our fingertips. Step one was to head to Pinterest to find inspiration images. Creating mood boards is such an important – and more fun than it has any right to be – part in bringing any styling dream to life. It allows you to piece together all of your ideas, and make sure they complement each other beautifully. If you want tips on how to create your own dream mood board check out our blog here.

With the beginnings of #BebeahLoveFest in mind, we knew we needed some incredible styling elements to match. Ultimately, the styling choice was clear to us. Even though the venue came complete with horses, we didn’t go with a rustic farm feel. Instead we used warm terracotta’s and textured neutrals and whites to really complement the surroundings. Chic and minimal styling with organic textures really brought out the beauty of the venue but didn’t push the ‘farm’ element too hard. Overall, we wanted a relaxed, chic vibe to help our colleagues in the wedding industry let their hair down and forget about the stresses of the past few months.

Our stunning vases were painted to match the warm neutrals of our colour scheme, and we carefully selected linens and plates with organic textures to help really emphasise the boho chic vibes. Plus, all the wide-open space really lent itself to having some cosy chill out areas with lovely furniture and plush cushions.

When the weekend of #BebeahLoveFest arrived, so did the rain. Not that we were disappointed, because it turned the grass the most luscious green and the misty valley of the farm made for the most gorgeous photos ever. Seriously, Days Like These Photography did such an wonderful job, make sure you go and check them out.

On the day, we were joined by some of the best of the best wedding and event companies, including Karina Pebble Makeup, Boho Hair and Makeup and some of the most beautiful dresses on display from of We Are Mancini. We were also surrounded by lovely white roses and blush orchids thanks to Ellebore.

We styled four (yes, four!) brand new ceremony options for the event, and all four were stunning. Check out the photos below to see just how gorgeous each of the styles turned out to be.

By the afternoon, the rain had turned into a light drizzle just in time for the bubbly to be poured, the live music (courtesy of Event Entertainers) to begin and the incredible Flossy Byron Bay cart to start handing out delicious floss to thrilled guests. There wasn’t a single person there who didn’t love having fairy floss in their cocktails. If you’re looking for something a little bit fun for your guests, live music and some spun sugar will always be a winner!

Overall, the event was a huge success and a really important moment for our industry. It was absolutely wonderful to relax and unwind with other people in an industry that has been hit so hard by the current world events. And it was important for us all to remind ourselves of why we love what we do and that ‘this too shall pass’.

Soon we will be back styling events, fluffing wedding dresses and wiping away tears as we watch our couples celebrate their big days!

We were lucky enough to have Sam from Velvet Sea Productions capture a stunning video of the event. Not only does this clip perfectly showcase this spectacular venue, but truly shows its magic.
