We’re in this together

When it comes to weddings, we are unapologetically obsessed!

The whole idea of luxurious lace dresses, delicately handcrafted stationery and blush blooms makes us go weak at the knees (like literally). There is not one detail we won’t want to get our cheeky little hands on.

And don’t get us started on the couples!

There is something so beautiful about sharing this special time with a newly engaged couple as they start the next chapter of their lives together. It is such an honour, and we thank our lucky stars every day that this is our job!

Devastatingly, our whole industry (along with the entire world), is a bit lost with what to do right now. While we are still working closely with our lovely couples, all our weddings for the next few months have officially been postponed. We are sure we are not alone is saying that it feels like we are in a badly written movie where the entire world has been taken over by a horrendous virus and everyone is forced to hide out in their homes.

But wait… this is real life for all of us right now!

But like so many others, we have found the silver lining amongst this unbelievable time. That means more quiet time with our little families, the luxury of working from home and spending our days in active wear with our hair up in a mum bun and connecting with so many people online (more than we normally do face to face). We are doing everything we can to support our couples and fellow small businesses. And we are totally amazed at how communities all over the world are looking out for each other right now.

During what is certainly a very scary and stressful time, it seems that humankind may just pop out the other side of this with a new-found sense of kindness.

So, here’s what we thought… why not finally start that blog that we’ve been going on about for years and bring you guys a fresh, behind the scenes look at what really goes on in our world.

We want to share all of the knowledge that we have collected over the years, and bring you face to face with not only Little Lane, but with some of the most incredible and creative suppliers that we are lucky enough to share this industry with.

We will bring you the inside knowledge of the best locations and all the tips and tricks to help you plan your big day. Our amazing followers have asked to see more behinds the scenes of what we do every day at Little Lane, so we are going to share this all with you too!

Now let us introduce you to the creative souls that make up the Little Lane team.

First up is our Director, Kirra. Wedding planner and stylist extraordinaire. Not only has she styled for the stars, but she was an interior designer in her previous life. She is all about the tones, textures and layers, and has a true knack for bringing any concept to life. She is responsible for making dreams come true for so many of our beautiful couples and is guaranteed to shed more than a couple of tears as she watches you walk down the aisle.

Next there is Lauren, our other Director. To say she loves weddings is the understatement of the century… She was the crazy girl who would buy Cosmo Bride every month as soon as it came out, when she wasn’t even engaged. Somehow that didn’t scare her then boyfriend away, and he did actually propose one day! She loved planning her own wedding so much, that she never looked back. Her aim is to make the lead up to her couple’s big day as stress free as possible and loves making sure every little detail is absolutely perfect.

Then we have Sigrid - our incredible Head Stylist and complete perfectionist. She is delicate in her execution and is all about the finer details. Bringing her creative flare and considerate nature to every wedding, she absolutely adores being there for her brides on their special day.

Thankyou to Sigrid and her extended team, they were so great and accommodating on our special day. You guys seriously helped to pull off one of the best events we could have ever imagined. The feedback from all our family and friends have been truly incredible. It felt like something out of a fairy tale.

We have another two gorgeous Head Stylists Laura and Angie, both as organised as they are creative & amazing! You’re in great hands with these girls <3

And then we are very lucky to have the best girl gang of Stylists who assist on our weddings… Elise, Lucy, Elishia, Sammy, Hayz & Phillipa. These girls are committed to our business like it is their own, and each and every wedding they deliver is done with so much hard work and passion.

Little Lane would not be what it is without this A-team, and we owe so much to them!
