This gorgeous inner-city spot combines history with a modern elegance. With its sandstone backdrop and perfectly manicured garden, it is the perfect spot for a classic outdoor ceremony. The sandstone courtyard can be hired for a ceremony only or for your reception also, which is perfect for those wanting to avoid travel between the two events.  

The raised manicured lawn features a beautiful tree, which is the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. During spring and summer the tree is lush and a great option for those not wanting an arch. However, it does lose its leaves during winter, so best to choose an arch or other ceremony backdrop if you want a feature. The city surroundings also lend them self to spectacular urban wedding photos – if you’re after something a little more striking than usual.

This spot is perfect for guest lists of all sizes, with the lawn neat enough for a more intimate size ceremony but with plenty of space in the surrounding courtyard for those bigger numbers. You can also have drinks and canapes before or after the ceremony, but this can only be arranged through the venue.

The Mint is a great option for all seasons. It is generally protected from the wind, so it is a great option for a winter ceremony.

Whilst it is beautiful, you’ll find it’s a more expensive option than booking a public reserve. However, the additional cost gives you the benefit of exclusive use, on site coordinators, toilets, lots of surrounding parking and an included wet weather option.
